  1. Here are the top ten films, based on score, by Ridley Scott … kind of. Since Scott’s career has now spanned 50 years, I wanted to try ranking his films by eras. So, below there are four eras represented by at least two films and that framing did box out a couple movies (apologies to Prometheus and Matchstick Men). It was all very close, though, regardless.

  2. One more (maybe annoying) wrinkle. Instead of a straight-forward rank of highest to lowest score, I layered the rankings by era. So, first place of each of the four eras makes up the top four. In the end, number one is always going to be number one, but I thought this could be more fair as it’s difficult to compare movies from different decades/times.
